We were approached in early 2023 and asked if we could host both the Launch party and the Awards Ceremony in our newly refurbished Chedington Suite, which of course, we couldn't resist! We readily donated the space to such a refreshing and positive activity. Marketing West runs these regional awards, obtaining sponsorship from local companies and involving various networking events throughout Dorset.  This year was the launch of the Gillingham area, which as we know, often gets forgotten tucked up here in North Dorset!

Once we knew these awards existed, we told our customers and offered them the chance to nominate The Old Brewery in whatever category they felt appropriate.  Judging was all anonymous and solely based on the comments received, but we were still delighted to hear we had been invited to the Awards Ceremony as guests.

We were extremely proud to hear we had won the category of ‘Best Pub/Café’ for which we thank all our customers who took the time to vote and said so many wonderful things!  Some quotes are below.  Our thanks go to our parent company, The Chedington Court Estate near Beaminster, which has provided support and guidance since purchasing the café in 2022, helping us match the high standards of the Chedington Group of companies.  But most of all, we thank all members of our staff, who have worked tirelessly to make so many of our customers want to vote us as the best.  We couldn’t have done any of this without you all!
